Weblineindia has developed an online Project Management System this system is basically a web application or software which user can run by hosting on the internet (Web Server) or intranet (local server) This project management application is  developed for our inhouse purpoise also we have dont few customization and sold the customized solution.

This online application gives you conform to do project management online. No matter if its about development or production or bug tracking. On this web application everyone can work collaboratively and also manage, track, analyze the project.

Manage Projects

  • The Add New Project page is used to create a project.
  • User starts with a blank project or copy Template's structure with milestone and tasks.
  • The project's name must be unique. Duplicate project name not allowed.
  • Contact Details section will be used to get contact information of the client.
  • Estimate Settings section will show time, cost, start and end date for the project.
  • User can specify cost in Day or Hour and according to this setting project cost will be calculated. Clicks submit to create the new project.  
  • To copy a project template to a new project, click the Copy a project from available project template radio button, then select the project to copy from the drop-down list.
  • If you would like to also import this project's milestones and tasks, check the Add Milestone and Add Task checkboxes. Finally, fill out the rest of the form and save your new project.

Project Users  

  • User can add user accounts and set their access rights for any of the project. Before assign rights user account must be created under the company account.
  • First left list displays available user accounts in the company. Middle list displays roles defined in the company. User can add user accounts in the project by selecting user from first list and role from second list and by clicking on Add button the new project user accounts will gets created.
  • Only one role can be assigned to a selected user.
  • Users will be deleted from project by selecting user from right list and clicking on Remove button.
  • Once user will deleted the tasks and milestone associated with that user in the project will be orphan.

Milestones

  • The Milestones tab will be used to create milestone. A milestone is a target or goal to be achieved by completing task or multiple tasks. It divides project in several parts or sections for easier management.
  • The Milestone (name) must be unique.
  • Owner is the person who will handle the project.
  • User can assign sequence to the milestone.
  • Status shows current status of project.
  • Estimate Settings section will show time, cost, start and end date for the milestone.
  • User can specify cost in Day or Hour and according to this setting milestone cost will be calculated. Click Submit to create the new milestone.  

Task Status

  • The Task Status tab will be used to create status (es) for their tasks in the project. Usually, task statuses are related to the task's completion level.
  • The first row displays the project name to which these statuses belong.
  • Second row displays status name for the project and it must be unique for the project.
  • A status will be used to inform on the state of completion of a task: pending, in progress, completed, etc. 

Task Types
 

  • The Task Types tab will be used to categorize the tasks. A task type can be an improvement, correction, modification, addition, issue, bug, etc. It is used to identify and associate tasks for easier management.
  • The first row displays the project name to which these types belong.
  • Second row displays task type name for the project and it must be unique for the project.
  • A task type will be used to divide tasks in different type like improvement, correction, modification, addition, issue, bug, etc.

Task Priority

  • The Task Priorities tab displays all priorities configured for this project. Priorities are used to define the level of urgency of a task.
  • The first row displays the project name to which the priority belongs.
  • Second row displays priority name for the project and it must be unique for the project.
  • The priority tab will be used to define the level of urgency of a task. It can be low, medium, high, urgent, etc. 

Project Task

  • The Project Task tab displays all tasks configured for selected project.
  • Task name must be unique throughout the project.
  • Each task will be associated with milestone. It’s mandatory to select milestone.
  • Before add task for any milestone its mandatory to create / add task priority, task status and task type.
  • It’s also mandatory to create user before creating any task because task must assigned to any user of the project.
  • There are also concern user field to indicate which user(s) associated with this task other than task owner.
  • User will be able to upload file for the task by clicking on browse button. The system will create new folder for each task named with task auto generated id and under that folder put that file.
  • Estimate Settings section will show time, cost, start and end date for the project. User can specify cost in Day or Hour and according to the Day or Hour setting the task cost will be calculated.


Files

  • The Files tab will be used to exchange important documents necessary for project. The functionalities under this tab are user can create folder and upload file/document.
  • The tab displays all root level folders as hyperlink. On click of each folder name it will display information regarding their folder and files under that folder.
  • User can create folder directly at root level or under any other folder as sub folder. Same way file can be uploaded at root level or under any other folder.
  • The folder created thru Project Task upload file facility will be also displayed here.
  • User can download any of the documents by click on file name.
  • Maximum up to three level of sub folder supported by the system.

Manage Users

Roles

  • The Roles tab will be used to create role for the project and assign right for different module to that role.
  • Role name must be unique throughout the account.
  • The rights can be assigned by the module and they are mainly view / add / edit / delete.
  • User can even edit the existing roles for rights re-assignment.


Users

  • The Users tab will be used to create user accounts for the company.
  • User name must be unique throughout the company.
  • The role assignment for the user is mandatory.
  • The username and password along with contact details must be supplied.
  • The status of the user can be opted here.
  • The allow login setting decides whether this user will be able to login into the system or not.


Templates

  • The Templates tab provides basic framework to manage several repeating things for the projects. Like wise the task type, task priorities, task status or tasks it self.
  • In software development normally all kind of projects has same kind of task priorities, task status etc.
  • Those repeating task priorities, task types, task status and tasks can be created and later when create new project available thru copy projects option.
  • If a project gets created with this option then relevant tasks, milestone, task priorities, task types and tasks are automatically transferred to newly created project.


Templates

  • The templates tab displays all existing templates.
  • Template name must be unique.
  • Use can specify estimated cost and time for the template.


Milestones

 

  • The Milestones tab will be used to create milestone. A milestone is a target or goal to be achieved by completing task or multiple tasks
  • Template selection is mandatory because then only it associate with it and later while creating new project user has option to select desired template.
  • The Milestone (name) must be unique.
  • User can assign sequence to the milestone.
  • Estimate Settings section will show time, cost, start and end date for the milestone.

Calendar

  • The calendar tab will be used to get quick information on task(s) belongs to selected project.
  • User can filter the task by several options.
  • The month and year selection is also available to the user.
  • The relevant legends are shown at the bottom of the calendar.
  • At lower bottom of the page Task list will be displayed with other details.


Message Center

  • The Message Center tab will be used to communicate with other user of the project or the company.


Received Messages

  • The Received Messages tab will display all received messages along with some other information.
  • User can view the full message detail by clicking on view link.
  • The view message will display all the details of a message and also provide option to download attached file.
  • User can also delete multiple messages.

Sent Messages

  • The Sent Messages tab will display all sent messages along with other details and also display if any attachment with the message.
  • User can view full message detail by clicking on view link.
  • User can view attached file by clicking on view attachment link.

Compose Messages

  • The Compose Messages tab will allow user to send message to other user of the project.
  • By clicking on Add and Remove button user will be able to select recipients or send message to all users of the project.
  • User can also attach file with the message.

Reports

  • The Reports tab provides several reports related to project and user of the project.

Weekly Time Sheet

  • The Weekly Time Sheet tab will be used to fill time sheet for a particular week.
  • After adding week the user has to select project and add work item for that project.
  • In that add project item the user has to provide attendance information with in and out time.
  • On top of the add week item page existing week item will be displayed with the status of approval.

Time Approval

  • The Time Approval tab will be used to display approval status for existing week items.
  • User can Reject or Approve week item.

Project Statistics

  • The Project Statistics tab will be used to display comprehensive and detailed status of the project.

Company Info

  • The Company Info tab provides information regarding company account. It displays global settings, current subscription details, contact details and reminder settings.

My Profile

  • The My Profile tab display Account Details, Contact Details and General Info for admin user account.
  • Admin user of that company can change password or update contact details.
